Membership
To join our Northern California Region, you must first be a member of our nationwide parent organization, JASNA. Members at the national level receive subscriptions to both the national newsletter, JASNA News, as well as the Society's well-respected, annual scholarly journal, Persuasions. National membership also entitles you to attend the Annual General Meeting, a delightful, three-day celebration of Jane's writings, surroundings, life and times, hosted in a different city every year. The Northern California Region also produces a newsletter, sponsors on-line discussions, and hosts really fun quarterly meetings. We perform community outreach activities such as donating Jane Austen's works to various classrooms in the Bay Area. We fund these activities entirely from regional dues. To make membership affordable to all, you can choose from several levels of financial support.
